LOOKING FOR FOCUS GROUP PARTICIPANTS! $50 HONORARIUM WILL BE GIVEN!

Dear community members,

SAWRO is currently working with the Council of Agencies Serving South Asians (CASSA) on a research project. The research study will focus on how violence and violent incidents have impact South Asian women, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The research project is looking for South Asian women (18 years and older) who have experienced violence and have tried to seek help and support from agencies or organizations since February 2020 to participate in a focus group discussion. The participants will be granted $50 honorarium for their input and sharing their lived experience which will help inform future policies and services to help others facing violence.

During the focus group, participants will be asked to fill out a survey questionnaire and then participate in a virtual group discussion where the facilitator will ask a series of questions. The entire process will take a maximum of 2 hours. Anonymity will be maintained all throughout the project and your participant’s input will be kept confidential.

Please see the flyer below, for more information regarding the research project. If you are interested in participating in the research project please send an email to sawro.office@gmail.com or call 416-686-0701 or 647-781-4178.

Best,

SAWRO
