Dear Community Members,
After an intensive needs assessment process and community forums, SAWRO women leaders and young women activists have put together the demands of our community into a set of policy recommendations that will improve the overall work experience of immigrant women from our community.
We will be presenting these demands and recommendations at York University Department of Work and Labour Studies on Thursday September 27th from 3:00-5:00pm (Ross South 802). This is a step towards reaching out to support marginalized workers in precarious work across Ontario. We would like to invite community members who are interested to come with us and participate in this discussion, feel free to contact us as soon as possible.
